About the role:
As a Service Mechanic at Forkliftcenter, you work every day with impressive equipment: forklifts and heavy port equipment from leading brands. From our workshop in Amsterdam, you carry out maintenance, repairs, and inspections on machines belonging to customers worldwide. Occasionally you'll head out for a job at a customer's location. You combine technical insight with a practical mindset. On top of that, you make sure everything works the way it should.
Responsibilities:
Carrying out repairs and preventive maintenance on forklifts and port equipment.
Carrying out technical inspections in the workshop or on-site.
Analyzing and resolving faults (electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical).
Carrying out safety inspections in accordance with applicable standards.
Documenting work performed and reporting to colleagues and customers.
Working according to safety regulations and quality guidelines.
Occasionally carrying out service jobs at customer locations.
You work independently on your own projects, but can always count on support from colleagues in the workshop or field service.
What you bring:
MBO level 3 or 4 education in a technical field (e.g. mechanical engineering, automotive technology, electrical engineering).
At least 3 years of experience with maintenance and repair of heavy equipment.
Knowledge of hydraulics, electrics, pneumatics, and PLC systems.
Certificates or brand training from Kalmar, Konecranes, or Hyster are a plus (or willingness to obtain them).
Ability to read technical drawings and independently resolve faults.
Good command of Dutch and/or English.
Driver's license B (E is a plus).
Proactive, flexible, and solution focused attitude.
